By accessing or using Groundhopper ("the Service") at groundhopper.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Groundhopper is a web application that allows users to discover football fixtures near a given location, sorted by driving distance. The Service provides live scores, upcoming fixtures, historical results, match statistics, weather information, and a personal log for recording grounds visited and matches attended. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

To access certain features (such as the Groundhopper Log and Trophies), you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations. • Scrape, copy, reproduce, or redistribute any data, content, or functionality from the Service without our express written permission. • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service. • Use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers) to access or interact with the Service. • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or its servers. • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity. • Use the Service to build a competing product or service.

All content, design, code, branding, logos, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the "Groundhopper" name and trade mark — are the exclusive property of Sam Tate and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Groundhopper name, logo, or brand in any way.

The Service relies on third-party data providers and services, including: • API-Football (fixture and statistics data) • Google Maps Platform (geocoding, routing, and map display) • OpenWeatherMap (weather forecasts) • Clerk (authentication) We do not control the accuracy, availability, or completeness of data provided by these third parties. Fixture times, scores, and statistics are provided for informational purposes and may be subject to errors or delays. We accept no liability for inaccuracies in third-party data.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sam Tate and Groundhopper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall survive.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
